The World E-Business Initiative is a
non-profit startup launched in 2011, and headquartered in Cairo,
Egypt.
It is managed by a group of young entrepreneurs with experience
in technology, e-business, and innovation, and a passion to
combine efforts, spread awareness about entrepreneurship,
e-startups, and e-business, and eventually promote
‘Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Digital Economy’ in the region.
WEBI (World E-Business Initiative) was launched in order to
build an open platform to promote e-business and help potential
and existing entrepreneurs in their pursuit to both; get funding
and reach customers besides enhance their knowledge and business
network and enable new business opportunities for them online.
It develops a ‘Digital Economy’ by connecting entrepreneurs,
Internet professionals, experts, investors and other
stakeholders and enabling collaboration among them all to come
up with effective solutions to establish sustainable and
innovative business facilitated by the Internet.

WEBI empowers entrepreneurs by enabling them to access an open
network of regional and global opportunities to promote digital
economy and using Internet as a strategic tool in
entrepreneurship with a focus on the MENA region and a worldwide
reach.

Improving the global digital economy by gathering young
entrepreneurs, Internet professionals, experts and investors to
come up with effective solutions for challenges that encounter
all related parties to establish sustainable and innovative
business over the Internet.
> Objectives
• Support entrepreneurs to establish and run their enterprises
over the internet.
• Innovate online and offline collaboration and networking
platforms for entrepreneurs.
• Activate the business role of the internet and boost the
digital economy in the region.
